BitSized

Contact Us

The fastest way to reach us is email at [email protected]. We read every message and typically reply within two business days. Whether you're reporting a bug, asking a question the guides didn't answer, requesting a correction to a cited statistic, or proposing a partnership, that address reaches a human who works on the site.

When you write, a few details make the reply much faster. For tool problems: your browser and version (e.g., Chrome 130), your operating system, the approximate size and length of the video, and what you expected versus what happened. For corrections: the page URL and the specific number or claim you believe changed, plus a link to the current official source if you have one — we re-verify against primary documentation and credit readers who catch drift. For privacy questions: the email address you used with us, if any (in most cases we have none, because our tools don't require accounts).

We take corrections seriously because most of this site's value is in numbers people rely on. Platform facts like Discord's upload limit and Twitch's Bit payout are cited with publisher and date on every page, and when a platform changes a fact, the citation stays wrong until someone notices — so your email genuinely improves the site for everyone who comes after you.

Common questions we get by email

Do you store the videos I compress?

No. Compression runs entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your file is read into your browser's memory, processed on your own device, and saved back to your disk. We operate no upload servers for the tool and could not see your files even if we wanted to.

Is BitSized really free? What's the catch?

It's free, supported by display advertising (Google AdSense). There's no premium tier hiding better quality, no watermark on output, and no account requirement. Ads keep the lights on; privacy keeps our promise.

Can you add a feature — for example WebM output or a new size preset?

Possibly — send the request. WebM output and custom sizes already exist; batch queuing is on the roadmap to improve. Feature requests from email carry the most weight because they come from people who actually use the tool.

Can I use your statistics or charts in my article?

Yes, with attribution and a link back to the specific page. The statistics hub includes a ready-made citation block (APA and HTML) at the bottom of the page. All numbers there are themselves cited to primary sources — please preserve those source links when you quote.

Are you affiliated with Discord or Twitch?

No. BitSized is independent and unaffiliated with Discord Inc. or Twitch Interactive, Inc. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. We build tools that work with their platforms and cite their official documentation for every platform fact we publish.

I found a number that's out of date. What happens next?

Email the page URL and the current official source. We verify against primary documentation, update the page and its citations, and note the revision date. Corrections usually ship within a few days.
